Weekend Streaming Options

As the week draws to a close, you might find yourself in need of some additional points to secure a victory. One effective strategy is to consider picking up a pitcher solely for their upcoming start. Whether you have an extra start available or require a boost in specific statistical categories, here are a few recommended pitchers for streaming purposes. Take a look below and make the most of your fantasy baseball lineup!

Jon Gray is going head to head on Saturday with an Oakland A’s team that ranks among the worst offensively in baseball. A matchup against Oakland is any pitchers dream this season and to make things better, Gray has been effective in his 7 starts this year. The 31 year old is 2-1 with a 3.82 ERA and 27 K’s through 37.2 IP. He’s rostered in 53.9% of ESPN leagues so there is a chance he won’t be available, but this lines up to be a great streaming matchup.

Jake Irvin has had a fairly successful start to his MLB career. After 2 starts he owns a 1-0 record with a 0.84 ERA and 8 K’s through 10.2 IP. Now this has been over a small sample size but on Sunday he faces a Mets offense that has had a tough time as of late. Washington has not been all too successful themselves but New York has lost 7 of their last 10 so it is worth riding Irvin’s hot start to his career. Rostered in only 1.3% of ESPN leagues, there is definitely some implosion risk here but worth a shot if you’re in need of a start.

Tyler Wells faces a Pirates team that seems to have lost their magic from earlier this season. After getting off to a blistering start, Pittsburgh has lost 9 of their last 10. On top of this, Wells has pitched quite effectively for the 2nd place Orioles. The 28 year old is 2-1 on the year with a 3.15 ERA and 31 K’s through 40 innings. Rostered in 26.7% of ESPN leagues, he is well worth a pickup this weekend and his consistency may just win him a permanent spot on your roster.
