Weekend Streaming Options

We're getting towards the end of the week and that means you may need a few extra points to get a win this week. One of the best ways to do this is by picking up a pitcher just for his start. If you have an extra start this week, or need a few more stats to pad those categories, check out these pitchers to stream.

Julio Teheran has been pretty effective in his first 3 MLB starts since 2021. Although he has lost 2 of the 3 starts, his numbers tell a more positive story as he has a 1.56 ERA with 10 K’s through 17.1 IP. Now he is an older pitcher that hasn’t pitched much lately in the majors so it is understandable to be skeptical of his recent success. However he matches up Saturday against a horrendous A’s team that you can be comfortable starting most pitchers against. Rostered in 7.6% of ESPN leagues, Teheran can be looked at as a fairly safe streaming option this weekend.

Brandon Bielak has been holding his own this season in the Astro’s rotation. The 27 year old is 3-2 with a 3.35 ERA and 30 K’s through 37.2 IP. Rostered in only 3.5% of ESPN leagues the righty should be looked at this Sunday for his start against the Guardians. Bielak has given up more than 2 runs in only one start this year. Combine that with the strong Astros offense and the lack of offense from the Guardians and you should have a decent streaming option.

Brayan Bello has a tough matchup on Sunday against the Yankees. Despite the matchup, we still believe he can be looked at as a streaming option if you are still in need of a start for the last game of the week. Bello had a great month of May, not allowing more than 2 runs in a start. On top of this, the Yankees offense has generally struggled without Aaron Judge who is currently on the IL. Rostered in 8.1% of ESPN leagues, the 24 year old should still be available in your league.
