We're getting towards the end of the week and that means you may need a few extra points to get a win this week. One of the best ways to do this is by picking up a pitcher just for his start. If you have an extra start this week, or need a few more stats to pad those categories, check out these pitchers to stream.
Wade Miley's first year with the Brewers has gotten off to a great start. The lefty is 2-1 with a 1.84 ERA and 14 K's through 18 innings. His next start comes Saturday against a .500 Red Sox team. Despite the record, Boston has not had a problem scoring runs this year. Ranking in the top 3 in the MLB with 111 runs scored. This may end up being one of the tougher matchups for Miley this year but if you're in need of points he's one of your better options this weekend.
Peyton Battenfield has had two respectable starts this year, giving up 1 ER each game to the Tigers and Yankees. This Sunday he finds himself facing off against a Marlins team who have scored the 2nd least amount of runs in the league. The rookie looks to keep his strong start rolling and earn the first victory of his MLB career.
Cristopher Sánchez is making his first start of the year after being held out due to a tricep strain. First starts off an injury usually aren't always the best time to pick someone up for a start but options are limited this weekend. The main reason that Sánchez is worth a look is his matchup against the Rockies on Saturday. Colorado has been horrible this season ranking in the bottom 1/3 of the league in runs scored. Don't go in with high expectations for Sánchez but expect him to book you a few points if that's all you're looking for to secure that victory.
