Weekend Streaming Options
We're getting towards the end of the week and that means you may need a few extra points to get a win this week. One of the best ways to do this is by picking up a pitcher just for his start. If you have an extra start this week, or need a few more stats to pad those categories, check out these pitchers to stream.
Logan Allen comes off his MLB debut in which he went 6 innings with 8 K's while giving up only 1 run. He now matches up Sunday (4/30) against a Red Sox team that has actually hit well this season, ranking 3rd in runs scored. Why Allen can be an appealing start, besides his impressive debut, is his matchup against Chris Sale. Sale has been flat out bad this season which is shown with his 8.22 ERA. If Allen can pitch halfway decent he should be able to walk away with a win and if the start goes anything like his debut, you may have a new pitcher to keep on the roster.
Dean Kremer matches up tomorrow (4/29) against a Tigers team that ranks dead last in runs scored. The righty came into his own last year finishing with a 3.23 ERA but has gotten off to a shaky start this season. He currently sits with a 6.20 ERA and 19 K's through 24.2 IP. While he's not the most comfortable start, this is strictly a matchup based option. Rostered in 1.8% of ESPN leagues, Kremer should be a decent source of points.
Noah Davis is a last resort starter this week. Although, he does have a clean statline on the year with a 0.93 ERA with 10 K's through 9.2 IP. The problem with Davis is that he doesn't go deep into games, failing to get past the 5th inning in 2 starts. This will also be his first home start in Colorado on the year which is never a welcome location for pitchers. To make things even better, he matches up against a Diamondbacks team this Saturday (4/29) that has been a tough opponent for teams this year. If you really need a few extra points you can take a chance on Davis and hope he maintains his sparkling ERA.
