Weekend Streaming Options

We're getting towards the end of the week and that means you may need a few extra points to get a win this week. One of the best ways to do this is by picking up a pitcher just for his start. If you have an extra start this week, or need a few more stats to pad those categories, check out these pitchers to stream.

Ronel Blanco has a matchup on Sunday against a Reds team that is fresh of a sweep of the unimpressive Royals. Now the Reds are a decent ballclub but he has held his own his last two starts. Blanco is normally a reliever but he is lined up for his 3rd straight spot start. He didn’t allow more than 2 ER in either of his starts and struck out 5 in both. One thing to watch will be his command as he walked 7 batters between the two games. The 29 year old will be available in your league as he is rostered in only 0.2% of ESPN leagues but his biggest restriction is being only reliever eligible.

Braxton Garrett looks to continue his hot stretch on Saturday as he faces a weak Nationals squad. The lefty proved to be effective last season and he has kept it rolling this year, currently sitting with a 4.10 ERA and 69 K’s through 63.2 IP. Add his strong performance with a Nats team whose offense ranks in the bottom 10 of the league and those should be the ingredients to a good start. He is rostered in 16.6% of ESPN leagues but get him while you can because another strong outing may get him picked up in most leagues.

Chase Anderson could be looked at if you are really in a pinch on Sunday. He has done a good job this year at limiting runs however he does not go deep into games. The veteran has a 2.72 ERA and 25 K’s through 36.1 innings without recording a decision. His consistency is appealing however he does have a tough matchup with the Braves. Fantasy managers should approach with caution but he should be available for as he’s rostered in 2.7% of ESPN leagues.
