Injury Report
Bryan Reynolds sat out another game yesterday due to lower back tightness. The Pirates have stated that they don’t think he will require a trip to the IL which is a good sign. He should be returning to the Pirates lineup either today or tomorrow as long as the injury isn’t more serious than we know.
Mike Yastrzemski was taken out of yesterdays game because of left hamstring tightness. He injured himself going from first to third on a single. He is going to be undergoing imaging to determine the severity of the injury so we will know in the next day or two whether he will require a stint on the IL.
Andrew McCutchen remained out of the Pirates lineup yesterday. He has missed the past couple of games with right elbow soreness which has been a problem for him in the past. Hopefully it is nothing too serious and McCutchen will be able to get back in the lineup soon.

Notable Performances
Shohei Ohtani continued to impress throwing 7 innings while allowing only 1 run, giving up 2 walks and striking out 12. Unfortunately the Angels offense only mustered up 2 hits against the Dodgers bullpen causing Ohtani to take the loss despite pitching a gem. There is nothing the MLB home run leader can do to surprise us at this point so continue to enjoy his incredible year.
Matt Chapman went 2-3 with a 2B, HR and 1 RBI to go along with a walk in the Blue Jays 6-3 win over the Marlins. After getting off to a scorching start, the 3B cooled off a bit but is still having a productive season. The 30 year old is hitting .269 with 10 HR’s and 35 RBI’s while leading the AL with 25 2B’s. Chapman has always been a decent source of power at the plate but has been more consistent as he is set to achieve the 2nd highest batting average in his career.
Jonah Heim continues to be one of the best hitting catchers in baseball this season. Last night in the Rangers 6-3 win he went 2-4 with a HR, 2 runs scored and 3 RBI’s. This production came out of nowhere as last year he hit a measly .227, although with 16 HR’s. Fantasy managers can continue to count on Heim especially at as thin of a position as catcher. The 27 year old is hitting .276 with 10 HR’s and 54 RBI’s through 65 games this year.
