Daily Reminder

Set your team up for greatness. Don’t forget to set your lineup today!

“In playing ball, and in life, a person occasionally gets the opportunity to do something great. When that time comes, only two things matter: being prepared to seize the moment and having the courage to take your best swing.”

Injury Report

Yandy Díaz is day-to-day with a left groin injury. He exited his game against the Yankees on Sunday, and he still does not feel quite right. His MRI did not reveal anything serious, so hopefully, with a day or two more of rest, he will slide right back into that dangerous Rays lineup.

Manny Machado was hit in the left hand by a pitch early in yesterday's game. He was pulled from the game right away, which was not very reassuring for fantasy owners. However, X-rays came back negative, and Machado seemed to have avoided anything too serious. He may need a day or two to get over some soreness, but it does not seem like a trip to the IL is necessary.

Anthony Rendon was placed on the 10-day IL with a left groin strain. There was hope that Rendon would be able to avoid the IL, but unfortunately, that is not the case. He sustained the injury a few days ago, and it seems as though he'll need about two weeks to get back onto the field for the Angels.

Notable Performances

Seiya Suzuki went 3-3 with 2 HR’s, 3 RBI’s and 2 BB’s in the Cubs crushing 7-6 loss to the Astros. The 28 year old is heating up, hitting 4 HR’s in his last 4 games. This stretch brings his season stat line to a .286 average with 5 HR’s and 17 RBI’s. Fantasy owners should be encouraged as he is set to blow by the numbers he put up last year in his rookie season.

Pablo Reyes went 2-5 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI’s in the Red Sox 12-3 win over the Mariners. The 29 year old has made the most of his time in the majors collecting a hit in each of the 5 games he has played in since being called up. This puts him at a clean .421 batting average and 4 RBI’s on the year. He has not done much since making his MLB debut in 2018 but has also not gotten many opportunities. Who knows how long the hot streak will last but it is worth riding while you can.

Kyle Bradish threw 6.2 innings of 1 run ball while striking out 5 in the Orioles 3-1 win over the Angels. Now although this was not the most dominant performance, it was yet another great start from the Orioles rotation. Bradish is now 3-1 on the year with a 3.90 ERA and 29 K’s through 32.1 IP. Despite lacking a big name ace, the Orioles pitching staff as a whole have been doing a good job at limiting runs as of late.
