Daily Reminder

Don't strikeout on setting your fantasy baseball lineup! Remember to check your roster before first pitch.

Baseball is almost the orderly thing in a very unorderly world. If you get three strikes, even the best lawyer in the world can't get you off.

Injury Report

  • Brandon Lowe exited yesterdays game with a contusion to his right big toe. It does not look like it is anything too serious but he will probably sit out today and hopefully rejoin the team for the week

  • Robbie Ray has been placed in the IL with a left flexor strain. He will be shut down for 2 weeks, then the Mariners will reevaluate. The lefty has been great the past couple of seasons so the Mariners are looking to get him back as soon as possible

  • Mitch Haniger is continuing his rehab process at extended spring training in Arizona. He has already resumed throwing and hitting and will be reevaluated next week to hopefully rejoin the team.

Notable Performances

  • Trayce Thompson: The 32 year went 3-4 with 3 HRs and 8 RBIs in the Dodgers 10-1 win over the Dbacks. Thompson has had a fairly quiet MLB career so although a cool story, this probably will not lead to an increase in fantasy production.

  • Jack Flaherty: With a line of 5 scoreless innings with 4 K's and no hits you would imagine the Cardinals pitcher breezed through his start. In reality it was anything but as the 27 year old walked 7 hitters. Although able to get himself out of trouble each time, to maintain fantasy value he will have to improve the control.

  • Adam Duvall: The CF went 4-5 with 2 HRs and 5 RBIs, one of those HRs walking it off for the Red Sox in an epic 9-8 win over the Orioles. After a down year in which he hit .213 Duvall is looking to have a bounce back year with his new team.
