Injury Report
Jack Flaherty has been scratched from his start on Sunday in London. Flaherty is experiencing right hip tightness but luckily the Cardinals believe it is not at a point where he needs to be placed on the IL. Hopefully he will be able to get back on the mound sometimes this week.
Michael Wacha is no longer starting today’s game due to right shoulder fatigue. The Padres are hopeful that he will only miss one start which is great news considering how good he has been recently. The Padres have called up Matt Waldron in his place to start today’s game.
Graham Ashcraft has been activated from the 15 day IL and will start today’s game. He has been injured with a left calf contusion for the past two weeks but is ready to rejoin the surging Reds. Ashcraft has had a very inconsistent year but he has shown he has some real potential. Maybe the Reds recent play will give him a little boost of confidence on the mound.
