Don't let not setting your lineup be the error that costs you the matchup!

Injury Report

Kris Bryant is day to day with some sort of hip issue. It was initially thought to be back tightness but it seems as though it is his SI joint. Bryant probably will not play today but should hopefully avoid a trip to the IL. Look for him to be back early this coming week.

Tim Anderson is working his way back from a left knee sprain which has kept him out since early April. The shortstop took batting practice yesterday which is a great sign in his progress. The White Sox are anticipating an early May return for Anderson so fantasy managers will not have to wait much longer for their All Star shortstop.

Jacob Degrom will make his scheduled start today against the Athletics. The power righty was taken out of his last start as a precaution due to wrist soreness. He seems healthy and ready to go for a favorable fantasy matchup against the A's. Fantasy managers should happily insert him back into starting lineups.

Notable Performances

Adolis Garcia had a monster day at the plate going 5-5 with 3 HR's, 2 doubles and 8 RBI's as the Rangers beat the A's 18-3. This brings his season totals to a .260 batting average, 7 HR's and a league leading 28 RBI's. The 30 year old has been a great source of power the past two seasons with a combined 58 HR's. Fantasy owners hope he can continue to rake at the plate.

Nick Castellanos went 3-4 with 2 HR's and 2 RBI's helping lead the Phillies to a 4-3 win over the Rockies. These were the first two homers of the year for the one time All Star. Aside from a lack of homeruns, he has been having a pretty good year at the plate hitting .310 with a .383 OBP. The outfielder does lead the league with 10 doubles so days like this get fantasy managers hopeful those will start turning to dingers.

Max Muncy and James Outman had 2 HR's each in the Dodgers 9-4 bounceback win over the Cubs. Muncy drove in 3 runs and Outman drove in 4 accounting for 7 of the 9 Dodger runs. Muncy now has 10 HR's on the season which is tied for the league lead with Pete Alonso. Outman is having a great rookie season hitting .314 with 7 HR's and 19 RBI's. He has struck out 24 times in 22 games but to this point that is all fantasy owners can complain about.
