Injury Report

Michael Harris ll was placed on the 10 day IL with a lower back strain. He was taken out of Thursday night’s game after banging into the outfield wall and it turns out he will need an extended absence from play. The braves hope to get him back soon but for now Eli White has been called up to take his place on the roster.

Josh Donaldson has been placed on the 10 day IL with hamstring tightness. The Yankees do not want to take any chances with the veteran in hopes of having him healthy for the rest of the year. DJ Lemahieu will likely slide over to 3rd in his absence, hopefully he will only be sidelined for the minimum amount of time.

Seiya Suzuki will begin a rehab stint in triple A for the Cubs. He has been sidelined with an oblique injury since the offseason but looks to be getting close to joining the team after playing in extended spring training games this past week. If all goes well, Suzuki will hopefully have his season debut next weekend.

    Notable Performances

Luis Robert went 3-5 with 2 HR's and 5 RBI's in a 13-9 loss to the Pirates. This brings the slugger to 4 HR's on the year with a .361 average. Teammate Tim Anderson also had a day going 4-5 with 4 runs scored and 2 SB's. Despite these two performances, the White Sox were let down by SP Lucas Giolito who gave up 7 runs on 12 hits through 4 innings.

Bryan Reynolds had a massive day at the plate to help thwart the bats of Robert and Anderson. The 28 year old continues to be on an absolute tear this season after going 3-5 with 1 HR and 6 RBI's. Reynolds looks to be on pace for a career year and it couldn't come at a better time. After failing to reach a contract extension with the Pirates, the outfielder looks to cash in next offseason.

Tylor Megill threw 6 scoreless innings giving up only 3 hits on 3 K's in the Mets 9-3 win over the Marlins. The righty has quietly gotten off to a strong start this season as he is 2-0 with a 1.64 ERA and 10 K's across his couple starts. If he can continue to be consistent, and the Mets can continue to provide run support, the 27 year old may be in line for a decent season.
