Injury Report
Adam Duvall has been put on the 15 day IL with a fractured left wrist. This is a big loss for the Red Sox considering Duvall has probably been the best hitter in the league this year. There is not yet an exact timetable as to when he will be back but it is expected to be about 6-8 weeks. Luckily he will not require surgery but the injury is still a tough blow to the veteran outfielder.
Germán Márquez was pulled from his start yesterday after 5 innings due to a forearm injury. He was throwing well before he was pulled after he went out to warm up for the 6th. Hopefully it was precautionary and will not require Germán to take a trip to the IL, but we will keep an eye on the situation and keep you updated.
Oneil Cruz is going to be taking a lengthy trip to the IL after fracturing his fibula/ankle sliding into home on Sunday. The Pirates young star looks like he is going to be out for about 4 months with this injury. He had surgery to repair the fracture and will look to start getting back on his feet as soon as he can.

Notable Performances
Max Muncy went 3-3 with 2 HR's and 7 RBI's in the Dodgers 9-1 win over the Giants. The 32 year old had struggled mightily this season striking out 16 times over 9 games. Fantasy managers are hoping he can return to his 2021 form where he was named an All Star after hitting .249 with 36 HR's and 94 RBI's.
Alec Bohm managed to stay hot, homering for the 2nd straight night, as the Phillies crushed the Marlins 15-3. This brings his 2023 statline to a .351 average with 3 HR's and 11 RBI's. The 26 year old has flashed promise over his 3 year career so we will see if this is the season he finally breaks out. He's rostered in 67% of ESPN leagues but if your league is one of the 33% where he is available, he is well worth a look.
Zac Gallen threw 7 shutout innings with 11 K's while only giving up 3 hits. After struggling in his first two starts, it was a relief to see him return to the pitcher we are used to. Besides one blip in 2021, Gallen has had a sub 3 ERA in his other 3 MLB seasons so we can expect to see more starts like this one rather than the two to start the year.
