“I’ve come to the conclusion that the two most important things in life are good friends and a good bullpen”

Injury Report
Harrison Bader is on track to return from the injured list on Friday. Bader has been sidelined since the middle of May with a right hamstring strain but appears to be back to 100%. He will rejoin a Yankees lineup that has struggled since losing their star Aaron Judge. Hopefully Bader will provide a much needed spark for the Bronx Bombers.
Jon Gray has been scratched from his start today against the Angels. Gray is experiencing some discomfort from a blister on his throwing hand. It does not appear to be a serious injury as Texas has announced he will most likely not require a trip to the IL. This is good news for the Rangers as he has been absolutely dominant this season.
Aaron Judge does not yet have a timetable as to when he will return from the Yankees lineup. It’s been about two weeks since Judge sprained his right big toe but he is still not ready to return. He received a PRP injection last week and has been feeling better. The Yankees will try and get him back as soon as possible as their offense has struggled in his absence.
Notable Performances
Shohei Ohtani once again carried the Angels to a victory. The 2021 MVP went 2-4 with 4 RBI’s and 2 HR’s in the Angels 9-6 win over the Rangers. Both home runs came in clutch moments with the first tying up the game in the 7th and the second giving the Angels a 2 run lead in the 12th. The 28 year old is having another phenomenal season hitting .291 with 20 HR’s, 50 RBI’s and 9 SB’s. Fantasy managers can expect more games like this as the season moves along.
Bryce Miller shut down the Marlins throwing 6 innings while giving up 1 ER, walking 3 and striking out 6. The rookie looked great only allowing one hit. While that only hit was a home run, there was nothing to worry about as the Mariners offense put up 8 runs. This outing was a pleasant sight for fantasy managers as Miller had allowed a combined 15 runs over his last two starts. His next start will come on Sunday against a struggling White Sox team.
JT Realmuto went 4-4 with 3 RBI’s and 3 runs scored as he hit for the first cycle by a catcher since 2011. Unfortunately the effort wasn’t enough as the Phillies lost the game 9-8 but it was a welcomed performance from fantasy managers. The catcher has been struggling this season hitting .256 with 6 HR’s and 24 RBI’s. Hopefully this can be a spark to help get things rolling on the season.
