Injury Report

Jordan Romano has been diagnosed with a rib contusion after being hit with a line drive yesterday. Luckily he was able to avoid any kind of fractures and will not have to take a trip to the IL. He is considered day to day and will probably need to take a game or two off to get over that soreness.

Brandon Woodruff is going to be missing more time than the 2 weeks he was projected to miss. He has been diagnosed with a sub-scapular strain in his right shoulder and has been shut down from throwing for the time being. There is no clear timetable for when he will be back but it is looking like at least a month.

Joe Musgrove will be making his final minor league rehab start today. He has had a couple of issues with his shoulder and his toe but he seems to be all good as he will be rejoining the team next weekend for his first start. Musgrove has been great for the padres in his time there and will help the team improve from its 8-8 start.

Notable Performances

Yusei Kikuchi threw 6 innings giving up 1 run with 9 K's in the Blue Jays 5-2 win over the Rays. The lefty has shown flashes of his great spring at times this season but it is hard to know which pitcher you are going to get. Prior to this start, Kikuchi gave up 6 ERs against the Angels. It will be worth following to see if the 31 year old can keep the ball rolling.

Jake Cronenworth had a monster day at the plate going 3-4 with 2 HR's and 6 RBI's. After two straight All Star selections, fantasy managers have been slightly disappointed with the 29 year old's output this year. Hopefully this breakout game can give Cronenworth the momentum needed to turn it around.

Wil Myers stuffed the statsheet going 4-5 with 2 HR's, 4 runs scored and 5 RBI's in the Reds 13-0 win over the Phillies. The veteran had struggled in a Reds uniform up to this point but proved he still has some pop left. While Myers will give you a fairly average season at the plate, he'll manage to surprise you with some huge fantasy production every once in a while.
