7th Inning Stretch

Take a break from today and check out some of the best, and some of the worst, players from the past week.
“Doctors tell me I have the body of a thirty year old. I know I have the brain of a fifteen year old. If you’ve got both, you can play baseball.”

It's effortless to overlook a cold player in your starting lineup, which could end up costing you valuable points. Conversely, a player on a red-hot streak could be sitting on the bench simply because you're not familiar with their name. Identifying who's on fire and who's ice-cold could make all the difference between a triumphant win or a devastating loss for the week. With so many players in the league, it can be challenging to keep tabs on who's dominating and who's struggling. That's why we're here to provide you with the scorching hot and the rock-bottoms of today's players, so you can position yourself for a shot at lifting that coveted trophy.

Injury Report
Jazz Chisholm Jr. will miss 4-6 weeks with a right turf toe injury after running into the outfield wall trying to make a catch. Although the 25 year old was struggling with a .225 average he will be missed from the lineup as he has contributed 7 HR's and 14 stolen bases; good for 2nd in the NL. Garrett Hampson and Peyton Burdick will initially split the starts in the All Star's absence.
Jose Ramirez has been placed on the bereavement list and will likely be away from the team until Friday. While this isn't an injury, the unfortunate death of Ramirez's grandmother will cause him to miss some time. Luckily it will only be a few days and Gabriel Arias looks to get some starts in the meantime. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Ramirez family.
Corey Seager looks to return from the IL by the end of this week. The 3 time All Star was slated to come back from a hamstring injury that has kept him out for the past month but he has now come down with a stomach bug. This will be a long awaited return for the Rangers as Seager was hitting a solid .359 in 11 games before getting hurt.
