7th Inning Stretch

Take a break from today and check out some of the best, and some of the worst, players from the past week.

“I feel that the most important requirement in success is learning to overcome failure. You must learn to tolerate it, but never accept it.”

Reggie Jackson

It's effortless to overlook a cold player in your starting lineup, which could end up costing you valuable points. Conversely, a player on a red-hot streak could be sitting on the bench simply because you're not familiar with their name. Identifying who's on fire and who's ice-cold could make all the difference between a triumphant win or a devastating loss for the week. With so many players in the league, it can be challenging to keep tabs on who's dominating and who's struggling. That's why we're here to provide you with the scorching hot and the rock-bottoms of today's players, so you can position yourself for a shot at lifting that coveted trophy.

Injury Report

Carlos Correa will not be starting today for the Twins due to inflammation in his left heel. There is no word yet on whether or not this injury will require a trip to the IL. In his absence from shortstop, Kyle Farmer will be taking over for him. Hopefully, Correa will be back soon without a stint on the IL.

Dustin May was placed on the 60-day IL yesterday. The 35-year-old was initially placed on the 15-day IL, but the move was made to open up a roster spot for the Dodgers. May suffered a flexor pronator strain in his right arm and is going to be missing at least six weeks, which is brutal for the Dodgers' pitching staff, which continues to be plagued by injuries.

Luis Robert Jr. left yesterday's game due to right hip tightness. It seemed to be just a precautionary measure to ensure the injury does not worsen. Robert will be sitting out tonight's game but is expected to play tomorrow. Let's hope he can make a quick recovery and return to center field for the White Sox.
