7th Inning Stretch

Take a break from today and check out some of the best, and some of the worst, players from the past week.

“A ballplayer spends a good piece of his life gripping a baseball, and in the end it turns out that it was the other way around all the time.”

Jim Bouton

It's effortless to overlook a cold player in your starting lineup, which could end up costing you valuable points. Conversely, a player on a red-hot streak could be sitting on the bench simply because you're not familiar with their name. Identifying who's on fire and who's ice-cold could make all the difference between a triumphant win or a devastating loss for the week. With so many players in the league, it can be challenging to keep tabs on who's dominating and who's struggling. That's why we're here to provide you with the scorching hot and the rock-bottoms of today's players, so you can position yourself for a shot at lifting that coveted trophy.

Injury Report

Ian Happ was removed from yesterday’s game in the 8th inning after feeling tightness in his calf. Neither manager David Ross nor Happ seemed overly concerned about the injury so the outfielder should be considered day to day. We will be keeping an eye on the injury and will provide any further updates.

Max Muncy missed yesterday’s game due to a left hamstring strain. It appears he suffered the injury running to first base on Sunday. No further information has been released but expect Muncy to be out for a couple days. Both the Dodgers and fantasy managers are hopeful he can avoid a trip to the IL.

Jazz Chisolm’s recovery from his turf toe has not gone as planned. After already missing several weeks, it has now been announced he will have to undergo surgery to repair the injury. This is a blow to both the Marlins and fantasy managers as everyone was looking forward to seeing the 25 year old back on the field. Stay tuned for a time table on his return.
