7th Inning Stretch

Take a break from today and check out some of the best, and some of the worst, players from the past week.
“Baseball is like driving; it’s the one who gets home safely that counts.”

It's effortless to overlook a cold player in your starting lineup, which could end up costing you valuable points. Conversely, a player on a red-hot streak could be sitting on the bench simply because you're not familiar with their name. Identifying who's on fire and who's ice-cold could make all the difference between a triumphant win or a devastating loss for the week. With so many players in the league, it can be challenging to keep tabs on who's dominating and who's struggling. That's why we're here to provide you with the scorching hot and the rock-bottoms of today's players, so you can position yourself for a shot at lifting that coveted trophy.

Injury Report
Mauricio Dubón was removed from yesterday's game with left hamstring discomfort after running to first base. He will need to undergo some more testing so we probably won't know his status for another day or two. Hopefully, Dubón will be able to avoid a trip to the IL, as he has been a valuable contributor for the Astros.
Kyle Schwarber exited yesterday's game after fouling a ball off of his left foot. Luckily the X-rays came back negative, so there is not too much to worry about. He will likely be out for a couple of games as he waits for the soreness and swelling to go down. Expect him back in the Phillies lineup by this weekend at the latest.
Jacob Degrom has taken the next step in his recovery process. Degrom has started to play catch, which is a good sign in his recovery from forearm tightness. The Rangers ace is still probably another 2 or 3 weeks away from returning but it is good to see he has started to throw. The next step for him will be facing live hitters which will hopefully start next week.
