7th Inning Stretch

Take a break from today and check out some of the best, and some of the worst, players from the past week.
“Baseball is like church. Many attend, few understand.”

It's effortless to overlook a cold player in your starting lineup, which could end up costing you valuable points. Conversely, a player on a red-hot streak could be sitting on the bench simply because you're not familiar with their name. Identifying who's on fire and who's ice-cold could make all the difference between a triumphant win or a devastating loss for the week. With so many players in the league, it can be challenging to keep tabs on who's dominating and who's struggling. That's why we're here to provide you with the scorching hot and the rock-bottoms of today's players, so you can position yourself for a shot at lifting that coveted trophy.

Injury Report
Joe Musgrove will be making his season debut this Saturday against the Diamondbacks. He is returning from a broken toe which he injured in the weight room over the off-season, along with a minor shoulder injury. He is now 100% and should be a major piece of the Padres rotation.
Garrett Mitchell was pulled from yesterday's game in the 10th inning after he subluxed his shoulder sliding into 3rd. He then threw a ball from the outfield in the bottom half of the inning which may have aggravated it more. Assuming there is no structural damage to the shoulder he shouldn't be out too long, the Brewers should be releasing more information soon.
Jeffrey Springs will be out for the remainder of the season as he will be undergoing Tommy John surgery. The lefty was fantastic this year up until his injury. It looked like the Rays had a breakout star but unfortunately they will have to wait until next season to get a better look at him.
